Snow Removal

The clearing of sidewalks and driveways usually begins after snow has accumulated in excess of ½” before noon. Generally, clearing is completed within 24 hours after the snow has stopped falling, but in some cases, such as during heavy or back-to-back snowfalls, it may take up to 48 hours to complete the job.

If you require bare concrete surfaces free of all ice and snow pack, salt or ice melter may have to be used. Salt can be used to clear walkways in warmer temperatures and for situations without ice. For locations that involve heavy snow pack (compressed snow on the concrete that develops very quickly as vehicles travel) or for temperatures below -15 degrees Celsius, we may not be able to scrape off snow pack because it is bonded to the concrete and ice melter is the only way to get rid of it fast.
